ACA – Deadline for Notice to Employees for Coverage Options Under the Affordable Care Act

By no later than October 1, 2013 ALL employers must distribute a notice to all current employees to inform them of certain health coverage options under the new public exchanges. Employers must provide this notice REGARDLESS of how many employees they have and regardless of whether they offer employer-sponsored health coverage. On and after October 1, employers will also have to provide these notices to new employees at the time of hiring.


OSHA Compliance – When Using Temporary Help Who is Responsible – The Agency or The Client?

Our recommendation, and OSHA\’s, would be to have the staffing agency and the client determine their respective responsibilities for compliance with applicable OSHA standards within their contract so that each knows who is responsible for what.
